Police restrained Gonzalez, who was unarmed, by kneeling on him for over five minutes. He became unresponsive and was later found dead at the hospital. Police had approached Gonzalez after a 911 call where the caller stated that Gonzalez was “not doing anything wrong” but “just scaring my wife.”
